So, why an arts club?
In 1979, Jon Kabat-Zinn founded the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program at UMass Medical Center. Since the program’s inauguration, studies have revealed MBSR’s positive effects on emotional regulation,stressed-related symptoms, and the nurturing of our emotional brain.
Pulling from Kabat-Zinn’s theory, Shardé Studio’s workshops put MBSR into play by motivating attendees to self-reflect on personal agency and take control of one’s narrative.
